Aitutaki Lagoon Resort

Has anyone been here recently? Understand Pearl Beach Resorts bought them out but there seems to be some confusion as to new overwater bungalows being built? Any info anyone?

I am staying at the Aitutaki Lagoon Resort in November, and can let you know when I return.

Thank you so much. Hope you have a wonderful time. I am trying to book for next April but no seems to know what accommodations they have or what the price will be after March31 with this buyout. Hopefully the travel agent will find out after she calls them direct. I'd love to hear your impressions though after you return!

You can visit the Pearl Beach Web site at www.spmhotels.com. They've recently upgraded the site and it has some good information.

Thanks gt. The only problem is they are working on the website & have bungalows (like 50 total OW listed for Aitutaki) which is incorrect. Apparently they are copying the info from the Bora Bora Pearl Beach site so it is a bit messed up right now. I'll post the correct info when I get it, or they'l have the site updated by then. Thanks again. Peggy

I just noticed on the Pearl Beach website that they are building overwater bungalows which should be completed in November.

Thanks. I finally got the info I was looking for. Pacific-for-less put together a great package. We are going to Rarotonga for 5 nights & then Aitutaki Lagoon Resort for 4 nights next April. They built just 7 overwater bungalows so we reserved one of those. Sounds & looks great! I can't wait! Well leaving for Mexico next week but really looking forward to returning to the Cook Islands. Finding the right travel outfit made all the difference though I did e-mail the resort direct & they were great & faxed me details & rates for 2001 that several other places since stymied over. Thanks for the update!
