Airfare Chicago to Sydney
 

Am planning a trip to Syndey for the 4 of us(2 adults & 2 boys ages 5/3) to visit my husbands cousin for 3 weeks in December..I am getting a fare of 6500$ for the 4 of us on AA. Is this reasonable for this time of the year..Want to lock it in early in case this is a good fare!!!

We paid about $2,000 for an upgradeable ticket for travel in February 2008, so your tickets seem reasonable. I didn't do a lot of research so I don't have a lot more input...

I was able to get just over $1,000 per ticket from San Francisco in September. Your price seems good, but not great. If I were you I might wait a bit and see if something better pops up.

Yes, but December is going to be closer to high season. The rate sounds pretty reasonable, and personally I would snatch it up and make sure you had seats.

Oh, and there is that pesky little issue of getting from Chicago to San Francisco for four, in December. If you were lucky, that would be 2-250 apiece, so 800-1000...that comes more in line with what David got from SF (although not completely, but it will be a higher demand season).

I think that is a fantastic price, and I would book!
