Accomodations in Port Douglas
 

We are spending four days in Port Douglas/Cairns. Should we make hotel reservations prior to arriving? Or, wait until we arrive?

Check out www.oztravel.com.au and look up the Whispering Palms Resort. We stayed there four years ago and have since sent others there who loved it also. It is quite reasonable and right on the beach with bus service hourly into Port Douglas. Neither of us made reservations ahead of time but for one night they had to find another place for us to stay as they were booked.

When are you going....what type of accomodation are you looking for...hotel or apartment? <BR> <BR>We stayed in Port Douglas this past November in apartment located 3 blocks from the center of town. Hi Dick, <BR>So you are still cruising the Australia questions in this forum! I caught you!!! You have to go back to OZ. Remember your tips on macadamia ice cream? <BR> <BR>The best place to stay I think In Pt. Douglas is the Sheraton Mirage!

Stacy... <BR> <BR>It's a real upper to know that you enjoyed the macadamia nut ice cream as much as i did. Do you think with dry ice it could be shipped? We could share. <BR>
