Abt Railway, Queenstown, Tasmania

Dear Janese and Johhj,

I read a reference somewhere about the Abt Railway that is running from Queenstown toward the coast. Is this actually taking passengers yet. I did a web search, but couldn't get much info. What's up? Thanks,

AndrewDavid

I think this is the information you need.

and yes as you will see it is up and running.
Remember though, that most of the Gordon River cruises leave fairly early in the morning so allow your time and planning for that. However there are plenty of float planes which will take you down the river and surrounding areas

Dear janese Thanks for the website for Abt Railway. We'll schedule ourselves to take the afternoon trip from Queenstown so we are in Strahan that night and can catch a boat the next day. I e-maile\ d your earlier reference about flight seeing and await their response.

Thanks again for your help,

AndrewDavid

Yes, I did the railway from Strahn to Queenstown. It's great. I did this in mid-March 2003. It's a must do.
