Are 7 clear days enough to complete the loop of SI, if yes how should we go about it.not just rushing through things but doable at a decent pace ..

I'd continue flying to Queenstown (or Christchurch), then collapse into bed and get a good night's sleep - why belabor things and mess up Day 2 with yet more airplanes and airports, when you can get it all over with in one go and have a full Day 2 to begin your holiday?

Driving would be my preference, especially with so little time - you'll need all the flexibility you can get.

You'll probably need two full days to bungy jump and skydive - why rush? Days are still short in October, so daylight is limited.

Absolutely not. You need about three weeks to do a complete loop of the SI (which is actually more of a figure 8), and even then you'd need to choose wisely.

You can however, drive one way from Christchurch to Queenstown in the time that you have, then fly from QT to Auckland.

It's all nice. What are your interests?

I would lock in all arrangements around the marathon first and then fill in the days left over.
I presume this is the Xterra Trail Challenge? It's on a long weekend for New Zealand - Labour Weekend (22-24 October)and the traffic spillover from Auckland will slow things down. It's the first long weekend after the winter and we all like to get away somewhere. Accommodation could also be booked up as Waihi and Paeroa are small towns.
Day 6 - plan to be in the area (where are you staying)ready for the marathon on the 7th.
Day 7 - rest/relax in the area
Day 8 - what airport is this? there is no airport in the area. Closest is probably Hamilton but you might as well drive back to Auckland. This is the last day of the long weekend so driving back to Auckland could take all day.
For your South Island part I would spend the time in Queenstown. You can do all the activities you want to there in days 2 to 5.

we are interest outdoor activities.... 22-24/10 is PH for NZ ?
Day 9 Auckland airport 8.30pm flight back to Malaysia.

yes we plan to join XTERRA Trail Challenge Waihi 22/10/16

Yes 22/24 October is a public holiday for all of New Zealand.
A night flight is good as it's not such a rush but the trip back to Auckland could take a long time.
