4 star Sydney hotels?

We're interested in staying in hotel that's very nice but not as luxurious as the Observatory or Regent.
We'd like to stay in the Rocks or Darling Harbour area.
Any suggestions?
Thank you!
David & Lori

Lori,
Maybe the Novotel at Darling Harbour or the Old Sydney (??something) hotel at the Rocks - not sure of the exact name but it could be a Holiday Inn. Both would be fine.
Try this site for accommodation:
www.jasons.com.au or
www.travelmate.com.au
Kay

What about The Russell? It has a web site so you can check it out. Its a nice little boutique hotel in the absolute best position, in the Rocks area, you could imagine - just walk across the road and you are at Circular Quay.

Lori:
We stayed at the Wentworth Sydney. About a five minute taxi ride from the Rocks area. Go to www.rydges.com. for a description.
John

Both the Intercontinental and the Sir Stamford Circular Quay (don't confuse with the other Sir Stamford) were very conveniently located to the ferries and the Botanical Gardens.

Star City Casino near Darling Harbour is very nice. Good value for the price.
