2 weeks in Tasmania

We are renting a campervan in Tasmania Jan 15-27 in Launceston. Any suggestions of places we wouldn't want to miss? (We love the rural, hiking, the beaches, the wildlife, the wines, and not so much the cities.) I know there are a lot of National Parks. Also need to know which camping sites have showers, as our camper won't have one. I am sure there must be a good guide for this. Thanks,

As far as what not to miss - Cradle Mountain, Freycinet/Wine Glass Bay, Huon Valley, Bay of Fires, The Tamar Valley (wine)....

Tassie is beautiful and the perfect place for people with your interests.

In so many ways Tasmania reminded us of western Oregon. Cradle Mountain and its lake should not be missed. We started at Launceston and ended at Hobart. And we felt that we just barely scratched the surface in our one-week stay. Wish we could go back. Your use of a camper van sounds ideal.

we went out west to strahan and the drive from hobart was glorious. the cruising we did from strahan into vast macquarie bay ( much bigger than sidney's harbour , i believe, but w/ a very narrow outlet to open ocean ) and up the river to boardwalks in the rainforest were stunningly beautifu.
we especially enjoyed the couple of days we spent exploring port arthur and its history
