2 Nights in Blue moutain End June

Arriving from Melbourne to Sydney on June 28 around 11am. Plan to spend as follows
2 Nights Blue mountain & surrounding
4 Nights Sydney

My questions are
1. Should i rent a car at the airport and drive straight to Blue mountain OR should i stay in Sydney for 2 days and then to Blue mountain and then again in Sydney

2. In Blue mountain should i stay both nights in Leura or should i stay 1 Night in some other place

3. How to spend 2 days in BM. Should we visit Jenocaves

After Sydney we plan to fly to Gold coast

I'd spend two days in Sydney, rent a car from Bayswater Car rentals in William Street for your Blue Mountains jaunt & return it so you are car-free for your last two Sydney days. This will save you the extra charges for airport car pick-up, which can be quite expensive.

June is winter. Daylight hours are short. If you are going to Jenolan Caves, I would suggest you spend two nights in the Blue Mountains & drive up to the Caves on your last morning. Spend te day there & return to Sydney, leaving by 4pm, so you are off Jenolan Caves road before dusk.

Entirely up to you what you do in the Blue Mountains. There's plenty to occupy you for a few days. Have s look at th destination tag & FAQ's here and the Blue Mountains website. It will be cold. Rug up.

Yes. Drive up to th Blue Mountains via the Great Western Highway (M4) & back via the Bells Line of Road. Call in to Mt Tomah Botanic Garden. You might stop in Bilpin for some freshly picked fruit.

Have fun, it's a beautiful region.

Finalized to stay 2 nights in Blue mountain. Any suggestion which area to stay
Leura
Katoomba
Blackheath

Should i stay both nights at the same place

Date : June 29 and 30

Thanks

I prefer Leura, but any of the 3 is fine.

The mountain townships are very close together - as you will no doubt have seen from your googled maps, - so it doesn't matter whether you spend both nights in one place or change.

Booked Waldorf leura garden resort which is about 1.2km from centre

& I guess that it's would be a steep walk, so if we take the car to the city centre of leura
1. Is there parking available
2. Any fees for parking

Thanks

Drive up to th Blue Mountains via the Great Western Highway (M4) & back via the Bells Line of Road.

Any other route which is better than the above

Will the google map work on this route or should I have a paper map as well

Thanks

Get a paper map. You will then see there is only those two roads.
Neither is "better" - each has its own charms.

Bells Line of Road has Mt Tomah Royal Botanic Gardens, orchards & a picturesque, winding road.

The Great Western Highway is a multi line freeway of much of it, passes through some interesting villages & towns once you get to the foothills.

Leura parking.
1)Yes. On the street and in the parking lot behind Leura Mall in the eastern side.
2)Probably. Depends on day/time. Read the signs when you get there.
