There are a few trip reports written by those who have been on wildlife tours in India. Perhaps start by doing a search for Ranthambore using the search box on the upper right.

Atravelynn's report is an excellent start:

Thank you Femi!

When do you want to go, how much time do you have, and are there certain species you wish to see?

I asked something similar to your question, Balmiki, in this link. Got great advice. I ended up choosing Bandhavgarh, Kanha, and Corbett for my first wildlife trip to India. I also visited the Taj Mahal.

CaliNurse, do you have a report? You could stick it here.

Lynn, Apolgies. No report--i am shamefully lazy. But i VOW to do one on this upcoming brief trip. Leave 25 January for ten days.

Kanha was good - saw tigers each day, plus spotted deer, warthogs, buffalo, swamp deer, owls, peacocks and vultures. Not that impressive compared to central Africa, but if it's India you would rather see, I can recommend this park.

How important are eles and rhinos to you, Balmiki? If these two species are not on your wish list, I agree with ClarkB on Kanha. If you just stayed in the Mukki and and Kisli sections of Kanha and went nowhere else, you'd have a wonderful and diverse wildlife trip.
