I shall seriously look for a place since it's only 3 weeks before the gtg. I haven't try the place Michaele suggested above but do you all just want Thai food only?

Ban Chiang (Did you ever get here, Smeagol?)
Fuzio (Italian - Pook has said it is the best in Bangkok)

I also saw in my wallpaper guide of BKK a place called Ruen Malika Suk 22 looks nice. It's in a Thai house with some grounds (i believe) I also like Michaels idea of Ruen Urai??.
Ban Chiang - nope didn't make it last time so still very much on my list.
Too many choices in this wonderful city.

Thanks for the opening post and offer; current work/pleasure schedule has me back in the City of Angels, ~ 9-19 Feb. ('Regretfully' engaged the first several days and weekend, but should any of you be in the vicinity of SQ's BKK SilverKris Lounge for an all-time special SIA 'early evening' flight back to SIN on the 19th, well, 'drinks on me'.

Have fun (and to make it a most joyous and uplifting BKK 'Get Together', turn it up a notch with a couple of 'jacuzzie' suites at a certain all-time cherished 'parlour'. (Your secrets are safe with me.)

i suggested the club beacuse when pook asked us there the last time---granted it was in the afternoon--- we found it a lovely calm oasis in the middle of the city with a lovely view of the buildings around wireless and the green of the track and golf course....

but best of all it was quiet and we were sort of alone and could cause all kinds of trouble if we wished.... all behaved of course...
