Which Bangkok temple to visit next?

Hi

I have been to Bangkok a few times and I have had the pleasure of visiting the various famous temples such as Grand Palace, Wat Pho, Wat Arun etc several times. Are there some other temples that are less know that is worth a visit?

The Temple of the Golden Mount is worth a visit. Lots of monks about ussually and a good view of the city from its hilltop location. Another very interesting temple is Wat Suwannaram, this is not far from the Royal Barges Museum and has some wonderful murals.

I assume you have been to the Erawan Shrine, if not, stop by on this visit. Try the Lonely Planet guidebook or website for other suggestions.

Wat Benjamabophit (Marble Temple) is worth a visit.

Yes, I recommend the Erawan Shrine, and agree that Wat Ben (the Marble Wat) is a good one to visit, especially early in the morning to make merit and watch others making merit. The amulet market is located at the Iron Wat (whose real name escapes me at the moment). I always try to visit a few new wats each trip, and one we visited and very much enjoyed last trip was Wat Saket.

I went to the Golden Mount for the first time the last time I was in BKK and really enjoyed it.

Here's a website that shows all the major and minor temples in Bangkok:

Scroll down on the page and look at the list on the left. Gives lots of photos, and good info like opening hours, admission, etc.
