Which airport do air asia flights depart from ?

Hi all

I am flying on Air Asia from Bangkok to Hong Kong, from Hong Kong to Kuala Lampur and Kuala Lampur to Langkawi. Can anyone help me with which airports each of these leaves from (and lands at) ?

is this info not on their websites since you have the flight numbers?

Well, its really difficult to look it up on the web site
BKK- HKG, HKG-KUL, KUL-LGK.

http://www.airasia.com/au/en/home.html.

Ok, in case you have not travelled much, those abbreviated names are the names of the airport.
BKK is BANGKOK Suvarnabhumi.

HKG is Hong Kong...only one airport of Hong Kong now .

Hope this helps.

Kuala Lumpur International Airport (IATA: KUL, ICAO: WMKK), or KLIA, is Malaysia's main international airport. It is situated in the Sepang district, in the south of the state of Selangor, about 50 kilometres from the capital city Kuala Lumpur and the hub of www.airasia.com great budget eceonoair
for me.Some great prices especially on nonstops out of Paris London.

Happt Journey,

In KL, Air Asia leaves from a separate terminal, maybe 10 minutes away from the main terminal.

In Bangkok, Air Asia flights leave from BKK, the "new" airport.

Hong Kong only has one airport.

You didn't mention Singapore, but there is a separate terminal for budgets carriers at Changi.

So I don't know of any city where Air Asia leaves from a separate airport, but there are a number of places where it leaves from a separate terminal.

As a budget airline, AIr Asia charges extra for everything. If you want all the extras, it's sometimes the same price or even cheaper to fly a full-service airline.

Sorry, I cant help you there. I haven't been through Kuala Lumpur since 2004.
I just looked up the AIR ASIA site..Maybe some one-else can assist.
I flew Air Asia in Thailand this year. No problems . Make certain that when you book, you specify what the weight of your luggage will be.. I was only flying a short haul and made certain that it was under 15 kg. They have different charges for different weights.
In Bangkok (BKK), Air Asia use the same terminal as all other carriers.
Always check in early, to avoid any problems with long queues, passport control and security. Bangkok is a huge airport, and, often, it involves a lot of walking.

LTCC, which is about 45+ minutes from the city and 20 min from the fabulous new K/L airport....LTCC has no facilities other than a mcdonalds and a couple of shops and maybe one restaurant... you walk out onto the tarmac to board planrs... its very efficient..

we flew directly into changi in SIN on air asia

Thanks !!

We will be staying at the Swiss Garden in KL. How does one get from LTCC in KL to the hotel?
Is there a train into town as per KLIA ?

mohan Jan 3rd, 2011 01:18 PM

There are coaches that go from LTCC to Central Station and vise versa every 10 minutes or so. The Air Asia coach is more frequent I was told, it's bright red, you cannot miss it. I was surprise to see a line waiting at the Central Station at 7 am in the morning. If you have to catch a plane, prepare plenty of time like 2 hour+.

I actually don't know your hotel. I assume it is in town.
