Where (city) are you flying from? Economy or business?
Lufthansa has very good connections from major US hubs such as NYC, Atlanta, SFO, ORD, LAX, all via Frankfurt. It is an efficient airline, almost always on time, without screw-ups. The downside is the rather cramped seating in economy. Business class is very comfy.
