Hi

I will be visiting Langkawi for 3 nights early in February for the first time, and am trying to find suitable accommodation.

I have researched Meritus Pelangi, Frangipani, Berjaya and Casa del Mar, but can't decide between them.

Any thoughts, suggestions, alternatives appreciated !

Among the four, I'd definitely recommend the Meritus Pelangi. I met a few people on a Star cruise ship and they seemed to think quite highly of it. Almost all of them picked the Meritus with one guy also recommending the Berjaya.

I second Bon Ton, not only is it GORGEOUS and supports a good cause, it has one of the best restarants on the island.
We stayed in the Palm Villa.Don't go though if yo dont like cats......

@Smeagol - Am severely allergic to cats - are they just roaming the resort ? Or also allowed in the rooms ?

i tried Citin Langkawi before..quite nice..budget hotel but yet very new and clean place. somemore its between walking distance to the duty free shops..highly recommend!
