Where to find good travel clothing in Bangkok?

Folks,
I'm 4 weeks into a round the world trip and I'm about to stop off in Bangkok for a couple of days. Seems like a good time to remedy some packing mistakes I made (bringing denim blue jeans) before I head into the warmer climates.

I should have bought lightweight travel pants made of a modern rip-stop type material and back home I saw several pairs at our local Mountain Equipment Coop (MEC) store that zipped off just below the knees to convert into shorts. I should have bought them but I didnt ;(

Does anyone know of a good store in Bangkok that carries these? Perhaps a travel store like MEC or Europe Bound that we have in Canada?

Any pointers would be much appreciated, I'll be there on Monday till wed, Feb 6-8th.

Got some good answers... MBK and Platinum Fashion Mall are my best bets.

Thanks everyone!

MBK will have some of the clothes you are looking for but Platinum I don't think. Other malls like the Paragon does have extensive out door type of clothing(3rd floor) with brands like North Face, Columbia etc.

Also check the Central Chidlom Department Store. I haven't spent time in the mens' dept, but I'll bet they have what you want. And they will have western sizes. MBK and Platinum might not carry a size that you need. They are aimed more at Thai sizes (think petite/small) rather than western sizes.

you will have to have a small waist and frame to fit into most thai readi-made clothing...

I believe "convertible" trekking pants will be aimed at the Western market. If found, I doubt size will be a problem.
