WHERE IS EVERYONE????
it is so quiet??
I'm thinking the same thing, Bob.
I'm here, but only lurking right now. |
It's because you were away. Welcome home!
i'm not home yet, we have 16 more days...
I have been doing more lurking than posting also. However I have noticed that there is less activity - maybe they are all on the Europe board...
Kathie, I don't think Bob and Karen are home yet. |
Some of us have to work for a living
Are you still in Kanye West, Florida Bob or are you in I-Taly? Less activity on Fodors is caused by the legalisation of cannabis in several US states.
We're busy with college graduation, then a quick trip to Peru on the way home, so I've been hanging out on the South America board.
haha, Just noticed the cannabis comment.
Oops - I thought this post meant you were home, Bob.
Cannabis has been legalized in Washington, but they are still working on the regulations for sales. I'll let you know when that is all finished - or maybe I won't get around to it. |
kathie, you and cheryl can set up your own store and take us all on trips---travel trips
Reading your trip report and very jealous about all the fantastic food u r eating, also preparing for phuket in a couple of weeks.
I've been trying to hold up my end, planning my SEA for next year. But Bob, without your ongoing presence, the board seems to be very very quiet. I lurked a lot last year while planning my India trip, but am trying to add my 2 cents a bit more this year.
We are heading to Shanghai again next week, will meet GTG with the Coke Family who are leaving Shanghai next month, haven't had others join in yet. No one in Shanghai end of the month?
Just back from Israel, also celebrated dil's graduation this past week. Lurking on the Fodors board and even reading some of bob's trip report on the European forum.
Kathie lol! Perhaps a GTG in your neck of the wood?
Cannabis and Coke. This board is going to the birds.
Well I too have to work for a living! But in the meantime as our trip to the Philippines is already planned and booked for September I am now planning our next trip- for May 2014- in Europe. As of today we are thinking- Fly to Prague, then train to Dresden then train to Berlin then fly to Paris and back home to Houston. I spend the time researching which hotels to stay and what to do/see in these cities. We have been to Paris but not the other cities.
Not sure what you're shouting about. I'm not even planning to travel this year (so far, lol) and I'm still spending too much time on Fodors. On the five boards I check regularly I'm finding plenty to read and a fair amount to comment on. Just on the Asia board we've got an on-going Vietnam TR and a very interesting first TR on an independent trip to China. Elsewhere crellston just arrived for a multi-month trip in SA, and crazyfamilyof04 should be getting started soon on their European odyssey (train wreck).
Laaaaaaazy.
It's been a couple of years since I was in Asia, and looks like it may take me a couple more to swing back around to that side of the world (not counting layovers). I've been spreading the love around the other continents >:D<
I've been lurking too but my recent trips have only been to the mideast. Will finally head back to Cambodia in a few months but just PP.
We are still working on the last few days of our India trip for February 2014. However, we are all set to celebrate our 40th anniversary in a couple of months on our first riverboat cruise in France.
Continue to enjoy your travels in Europe! Stay well! |
We just returned from visiting family in Illinois, and extended our stay to see some of Chicago, a truly beautiful city with great and varied architecture. I'm now back to planning our Japan trip.
Bob, perhaps you could award a small potted plant instead of a travelling elephant as the prize at this years GTG? lol |
Can I fly with a plant as carry-on?????? (not that I'm expecting to win the prize...)
i think pot will do
lol.... I know for sure I can't travel with that, Bob. Stick with the elephant!
Still here, but somewhat quiet lately. But heading off to Norway, Tallinn, St. Pete and Moscow in less than 2 weeks!
