Consider Vietnam. Just avoid the typhoon season. You wouldn't be able to go anywhere due to flooding, bad streets etc...

I agree with Vietnam. Was there from Cantho to Hanoi in Feb. Plan to be there even longer this Feb. and adding 5 days in Laos. People are very friendly. Go sometime between Nov. and March.

No objection on Viet nam, but would like to recommend Nepal and India as well. The scenery is of course second to none, and peaceful lifestyles, together with the food.

Visit Nepal, Bhutan, the Maldives, or Sri Lanka.

i agree with henrik above. try boracay island in panay, philippines. one of the greatest beach in the world! or palawan island for underground rivers and wildlife, if you want to be closer to the main island group (luzon).

a Philippino i talked to said avoid southern Philippines at the moment - political instability and kidnappings are of concern. instead of cebu i went to Guilin/ Yangshao. the later is visitor-friendly if not getting overly touristy, but very beautiful and a bike trip is most worthwhile.

I think best would be to visit India - its gorgeaous and has everything. Try it out and you wont regret. For more details - check the topics on India - good references and experienced travellers there

The most fascinating place must be China. It has all you asked for and much, much, much more. Why not consider Hong Kong as well ? Or at least make it part of your trip.

Happy travelling.

if you are looking for an unforgettable experience try India. You need to go with an open mind there is incredible poverty and great beauty in this place. There is much to see start in Northern India Uttar Pradesh,Rajastan,Madhya Pradesh. You will find ancient ruins, monuments built for love, and many diverse cultures.Along the way you will walk amongst monkeys, cows, camels ect and can ride on an elephant.I've heard there is a wild game preserve where tigers roam.
While in India you may want to visit Nepal (Kathmandu) another amazing country. The food in both places are great you will find Thai,Chinese Indian food in its variations.
This is one country that when you leave you are changed forever it has an effect on you that is hard to verbalize
Where ever you choose to go have a great vacation.

Of a half-dozen places I've visited in Asia, two of the most intriguing, and absorbing, were the holy city of Varanasi in India (the most superb urban sunrise in the world, bar none) and Sri Lanka, if you can live with the ever-present threat of political violence. (Note: tourists aren't targeted) Sri Lanka has tea plantations and Bentota and Sigiriya, which one needs to see to believe.
These are the top two on my Asia must-see list . . .
good luck

If you think you have seen the most beautiful country in the world, you must then see China. I bet you wouldn't have imagined how beautiful it could be.
