When is low season for Singapore?

Hello all.
I need to go to Singapore to visit my 90 year old aunt who is in failing health. I live in the New York area (closer to Newark airport) and am trying to figure out the best (cheapest) time to fly to Singapore in the next few months.
Any tips on when it is low season to fly? Thank you!

Avoid Chinese New Year - but failing that, SIN is always the same weather, all year long.

As for fares, I have generally had good luck in the first couple of months in the year, but have also found reasonable fares in Sep/Oct.

Be aware that fares to SE Asia have gone up dramatically in the last couple of years. Maybe SARS wasn't all that bad.

Best, Dave
