What to see in Osaka in 8 hours
 

We will have a layover in Osaka in February <BR>and we would like some information on what to do for the day there.

My husband and I spent 3 days in Osaka 2 years ago. Osaka is very japanese. We had a hard time getting around most things written not in words. People speak almost no english. But we had a great time. We went to the palace which was wonderful and very interesting.

Lisa, <BR>Did you go to see the aquarium while you was in Osaka. If so do you think it would be worth spending our time to go there or would we see more interesting things elsewhere in the city?

I went to see it 4 years ago, it was really worth the visit. The Castle is really interesting too.

What is the best way to get to the Aquarium from KIX?

Go to the Dotombori area (popular <BR>hangout area in Osaka), do <BR>some shopping and try okonomiyaki <BR>(Osaka-area specialty food). <BR> <BR>The commute to and from the airport <BR>can take over an hour each way. <BR>

Jitsu wa <BR>Osaka wa SHOMONAI!!Osaka sucks. I wasted 3.5 years of my life working there. Dont waste your time going to see it. The only thing that is good is the amount of whores they have posing as 'Hostesses' If this is your idea of fun go to SHinsaibashi and Kitasenchi to have sex. But it will cost you alot and they dont take credit cards. have fun

Because you couldn't see anything pleasant in Osaka doesn't mean there isn't. Sorry you had a bad time there, many people I know enjoyed it, without ever going in any disreputable area. Each to his own.
