What to see in Fenghuang Ancient Town? (in Hunan)

Hi everyone,

Now I am interested in Fenghuang Ancient Town in Hunan, has anyone been to there before? I have contacted some travel agents and they suggested me to spend about three days there. So, I would like to know
What to see in this ancient town?
Is it the same with Pingyao Ancient Tow?
How about the accommodation there?

Now, I just need some suggestions so that I can decide whether to go there or change into another place in China. Thanks!

I haven't, but some of my relatives have. It is different from Pingyao, as Pingyao is a Han Chinese town, while Fenghuang's original inhabitants belong to the Miao (苗) ethnic group. The architecture and layout (it's more mountainous than Pingyao) are all different.

But 3 days may seem a bit much. I think it's a good companion on a longer trip to Zhangjiajie/Wulingyuan (張家界/武陵源) National Park to the north.
