What to do in Siem Reap at night?

Any ideas for a female in the mid 30s?

Thanks, Versus

Tracy B, when will you be there?

Have dinner with a 40 year old male.

If you are out climbing the ruins during the day, I expect you'll want a cool dip in the pool, a quiet dinner, perhaps a drink and to go to bed early. You'll be exhausted, and you'll likely be getting up to be at the temples at sunrise. We toured from sunrise to sunset, with a few hours off at mid-day each day. In six full days in Siem Reap, we still didn't see all of the accessible temples.

Apsara dance, food, music and fun at the Dead Fish Tower restaurant, cello concert for charity at the hospital by the dr. - I think that is on Saturday nights. Check out www.talesofasia.com

Bob, you're old! Let the youngies have their fun!

We're aged, but not infirm, so we managed to fit in Deadfish Tower! Great fun & good Thai food. Look out for the live reptiles!

I slept. The village looked kind of quiet in the evenings, but I guess there is something somewhere.

When we told our temple guide that we had seen apsara dancing in the Dead Fish, he said that was not the real thing. The real thing is somewhere along the airport road, but we never made it there on time because we stayed at the temples until sundown.

I should clarify. We did not see Apsara at Dead Fish. The nights we were there it was 80's music. Hilarious! We saw Apsara at a dinner show and I don't even know where. We were taken there by our guide. I was really great and had good Khmer food too. Very inexpensive.

If you're only there for 3 days, i expect you'll be packing lots of stuff in, and you'll be rather tired at the end of the day!
I've just come back from 2.5 weeks in cambodia and bangkok, having spent 10 days in siem reap. we found ourselves busy every day and exhausted by the end! we stayed out of the town centre, so our driver took us out some nights, and we had drinks in the red piano/angkor what/etc

woops!
we also went to an aspara dance show - was ok.
on the wednesday night we went to a shadow puppet show,
and on the friday night we went back to Aki Ra's landmine museum - we'd been there during the day, and saw a play that all his adopted children put on - history of cambodia/khemer rouge etc. that was great fun, and we stayed and played with the kids afterwards!

I saw an Aspara show and then went back to my hotel.

I thought I could take nighttime dip in the pool, but there were so many geckos everywhere I was unnerved.

I got a great Thai massage and went to sleep.
