Must I travel to BKK first?

If you're travelling from BKK to Phuket and then want to go to Siem, I think you may be better off getting a 'pass' from Bangkok Air - this may work out cheaper, but I think you will need to go via BKK. You can check at www.bangkokair.com

the air pass will save you money...if you use 3 segments, which you will, you can reduce your costs on the international part

Thanks but how do you book the flights under the discovery pass

know exactly what you want for flights and then call bkk air and book them via telephone....call 800 info in usa...they will tell you how much it costs and then you have to send them a check---no credit cards---and then they mail the tickets to you....they had me send my check to nyc...

$80 each international leg (SR for instance)

so SR is $160 vs over $275 via reg ticketing...

Don't forget the fuel surcharges & insurance which have to be added. This brings the cost up to $272 for 2 international and 1 domestic coupons. Same as retuen BK/SR ticket but you save the cost of Phuket/Bangkok flight which is around $61.
