Websites to book Taipei hotels though?

We will be traveling to Taipei for 4 days (on way home from Bangkok) and need to book hotel rooms. I've found resources for booking Thailand hotel rooms with terrific rates, anything like this for Taipei hotels?

Expedia and Priceline have some options, but very few.

Thanks!

You could try Asiaoz, I think it goes through a USA system for Taipei though other parts of Asia through local ones and I think hotelclub for Australia.

Hi, lovesadventure! For bookings in Taipei, you could consider www.wired-destinations.com I myself have just discovered them, and they seem to have good hotels in various parts of Asia, including Taiwan.

JamesA, EasyWalker, thanks both for the responses. Have either you tried booking with these outfits before? Just curious how much wariness to book with.

There are a large number of reputable internet booking agencies for Taipei.

Beware! A large WARNING against Wired Destinations, they have a very bad name in the industry and numerous cases of credit card fraud and booking problems are known.

If you go to Asiaoz ( they don't book hotels but tell you tips where to find them ) they show a choice for Taipei between World Choice which is USA based and part of Travelocity so that should be reliable enough and a wide choice especialy if you are USA based as they have phone contact for help etc.
The other one they suggest goes through to Hotelclub which are Australian based and well known so should be fine.
