website/app to use for looking up public transportation in Bangkok

Hi all,

Is there an app that I could download beforehand that searches public transportation in English for Bangkok?

Btw, does anyone know the time it would take to get from airport to Sala Daeng station? Is it better to do skytrain+metro? Thank you!

You'd have to use the Air Rail Link, and change to BTS [skytrain]. If you are either a newbie to Bangkok, or carrying luggage, or arriving at a busy time of day then I'd forget that option.

Simple to get an Airport taxi, and go door-to-door from Airport to hotel.

There are plenty of webpages that give info on the public transport options in Bangkok. For the skytrain, www.transitbangkok.com/bts.html, but the same site should have info on the subway system. There is also a site for the water taxi system. There is more than one taxi app, and there is Uber as well.

That must be a recent change. A friend of mine emailed me about using Uber in Bangkok, but that was some months ago.
