Visiting Vietnam & Cambodia
 

I'll be visiting Vietnam and Cambodia in August/September and would like honest recommendations of budget hotels for Ho Chi Mihn City and Siem Reap. Also, looking for interesting itineraries HCMC and Siem Reap. Maximum time in each country 4-5 days.

For budget accommodation listings in Siem Reap see: talesofasia.com/cambodia-siemreap-guide-stay.htm. I stayed at www.yaklom.com which has individual cottages with en-suite bathrooms and balconies, and is attached to a good Thai restaurant.

Unfortunately my hotel pick for Saigon, the Saigon Pink II, seems to have closed.

www.canbypublications.com is a very good Cambodia resource.

Everyone has different ideals of what budget hotels cost. Could you give an amount you would be happy with and then we could recommend some in that range.
