Visa for Thailand?

If I'm reading the website correctly, it seems like a visa for Thailand is not necessary if I'm a US citizen. Can anyone confirm that? I don't want to be unprepared. Thanks.

US citizens do not need a visa for stays of less than 30 days.

You get 30 days if you arrive by air, or 15 days if you cross a land border.

We are planning on adding Cambodia and Laos to our Thailand trip...what happens to the 30 day Visa when we cross a border and return? Would we then only have 15 days when we cross back to Thailand? We plan on a 35 day trip so if that is the case will we have to space our border crossings carefully? Is another Visa option available?

Each time you fly back into Thailand, you get another 30 day visa-free entry. Each time you cross a land border into Thailand you gat 15 days visa-free entry.

You can get a visa in advance for up to 60 days at a Thai embassy or consulate.
