visa at siem reap

Has anybody recently obtained visa from siem reap airport? How long is the line and easy is it to get visa there? thanks.

i got mine before i left the usa and avoided the entire line...most people did not have one in advance....i would secure mine again in advance....recently we waited an hour and 1/2 in bali to get one upon arrival....wait depends on where you are in the line of course..

When I went through the airport at Siem Reap, the visa process was pretty efficient. It will always depend though, on how full the plane is (usually FULL) and how quick people are with the process. It's certainly easy.

I was there last week and it was a pretty painless proces. Make sure you have a recent pasport size picture and $20. US money only. we where 3rd out of 20 people and it took all of 5 minuts.

It's an easy enough process. Even if you're at the end of all the passengers deplaning, it's no more then 20-minutes. It's painless and you don't have to send your passport off anywhere.

I forgot to add, do make sure you have at least one full page blank in your passport!

I had my visa my husband got his at the airport. By the time he was through the line he just walked over to where I was standing. Our plane was full and I'd also say it took us about 15 - 20 minutes. We are american citizens. Very stream lined process.

If you want to move to the head of the line, write MEDICINES in the OCCUPATION blank on your arrival card. My mother is a nurse mid-wife, so I wrote MEDICINES on her arrival card (I have to do all the paper work for her, as she couldn't be bothered), as that is French for medical personnel. (An official collects your arrival card as you are standing in line and gives it to men sitting behind the visa counter.) My mother was called to the head of the line.

My husband and I were in Siem Reap two weeks ago and while I would NOT recommend it - it is possible to get your visa without US$ OR a photo. We were number 3 and 4 in the visa line when my husband (European not American) realized he didn't have a copy of his passport photo and had forgotten to change our Singapore$ to US$ before we left. This was not a problem and for a small surcharge the visa officers just sent us through as normal. The officers all sit in a row behind a counter and pass your passport from one to the other. It literally took about two minutes. Very fast, very efficient even when dealing with one goofball American(me) and one forgetful European(my husband)!
