Villas in Koh Samui
The more I look at places to stay Sept 6th thru Sept 9th, I began to look at villas. I have 2 daughters 20 and 22 so they need their own room anyway. Any recommendations? Price around 300 dollars a night. I saw Coral Bay resort, but the reviews were not great. Thanks for any help.

Here are other reviews for Coral Bay,
http://www.r24.org/beachsiam.com/samui/coralbay/review/ As your daughters are that age group I guess reachable distance to Chaweng action would be an advantage, it's a more 'rustic' design than say in contrast to a lot of the new 'minimalist/boutique style' places so it might not appeal to everyone's taste, certainly more 'wooden' style place than 'trendy/stylish' ( if that makes any sense) Are you saying $300 for 2 rooms or per room? |
Villas have been slow to catch on in Thailand. Unlike Bali, they're still rather hard to find. A couple other names I can suggest are Saboey and The Library.

pansea is worth a look...it has both hotel and villas

thanks for input. I was hoping for 300.00 a night for 4 of us (meaning 2 rooms). The Tamarind is not taking reservations - recommended some other places - Rockys looked interesting. I liked Pansea also. Keep up the good work on advising. I'll get my plans done eventually!

A poster on this board, Bellabluebell (or something close to that) stayed at Rocky and loved it. You can probably find her report by searching for Rocky Beach.

At Rocky you'd probably only get 2 garden view rooms for that price in September, July and August rates are higher as busy time on Samui, September they drop down, I would check Bella's very detailed review of Rocky.
