Vietnam visa
My friend and I plane to travel to Vietnam and some South Asia nations on this April. But traveling to the embassy to obtains the visa is quite take time for us. Anyone have experience of applying electronic visa. Please give us an advice. Thank you in advance.

Here is a thread about the e-visa service:
http://www.fodors.com/community/asia...sa-service.cfm I'm afraid the info above from maxlewis19 is not accurate. If you want info on what to do and see, get yourself a good guidebook. |
It is a little pointless asking questions about visas unless you provide details of your nationality and which countries (apart) from Vietnam, that you want to visit. It may be that no visas are required.
On the other hand, for certain nationalities that do need visas, you could be leaving it very late for some countries. |
crellston- Thanks for your previous postings on the subject We are from the USA, so I know a visa is required for Vietnam. Sorry that I didn't understand your second paragraph. Thanks for your information.

Has anyone used Vietnam's eVisa program recently? Most of the eVisa related postings are dated from February and March of 2017 and I would like to know if anyone has utlized it more recently and has had a positive experience. We are travelling there from the US.

We used it in May and again in October. Worked fine both times, no problems whatsoever. Sailed through immigration in no time with no queuing for stamping etc. The only reasons for using a visa approval letter or getting a visa from an embassy would be if you wante to stay for longer than 30 days or require multiple entries.

I am from US and returned 2 weeks ago from Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Lao. We used the Evisa website Crellston recommended for Vietnam. Getting into country was smooth sailing. My biggest problem was uploading picture and passport into their website. We did not get electronic visas for Cambodia and Lao; I cursed that decision while waiting in line.

I am in VN today.
I applied on line for visa ($18), was approved in 2 days. Arrived at Hanoi, paid my $25, had my visa --30 min max, although I had head of line because of wheelchair. Easy-least.. |
S/b easy-peasy

I paid $25.92 and had the visa in hand when I arrived.
