Vietnam airfares ?

I've posted this message in "Vietnam" already.

Hi everyone,

We're (3 of us) leaving for Vietnam at the end of June. A friend of mine is offering some stand-by passes. These passes only allow us to travel on specific routes. We can reach any city in the US, quite a few more in Europe, and Tokyo for Asia. My question would be, What is the most affordable trip from any of these cities to Vietnam? I know there are a few low-fare airlines in Asia, but they seem to leave from Thailand, Korea or Indonesia. Thanks a lot for now.

You have not mentioned Hong Kong. In case it is being offered Hong Kong to Hanoi is a very short hop, just an hour. Otherwise Bob is right - if your only Asian choice is Japan you have no choice but to take it!

From US, try to find a Vnese travel agent. He/she could get you a real bargain fare from Korean air, singapore air, United air, ANA, China Air, Pacific air etc...
Internet fare is always 30% higher. Good luck.
