Vietnam

Going to Vietnam for 3 days pre-cruise. I need a cheap transfer (not bus) from Hotel in Ho Chi Minh about 65 miles away to the port, any suggestions on drivers. I contact 1 company and they wanted $100 plus dock fee's!

Why don't you try to take a taxi on your own? Mai Linh company for example.65 miles are not too far, you can completely do it maybe save your money.

Do you know how much that would cost?

Where is the port your going from? Vung Tau? If so, you can take the hydrofoil which takes 90 minutes for approximately USD $10.

Are you leaving out of Vung Tau? If so, why not take the hydrofoil which takes 90 minutes and is approximately USD $10.

We are going from Saigon to Interflower or Vung Tau, thanks for the suggestions on the hydrofoil but we took one to Macau and my son got really sick. Do you know how I find out how much a taxi would cost?

The Macau journey is much different than Vung Tau. I've taken many ferries between HK and Macau/China. The water is much rougher on that trip. Vung Tau your on the river for all but the last 20 minutes.

I looked into taking a taxi back to HCMC when the hydrofoil was delayed in Vung Tau. I believe they quoted 800,000VND
