Uzbekistan - the pearl of the Silk Road
We travelled through Uzbekistan this spring coming from Turkmenistan. Uzbekistan offers so many sights that we've written a travel blog about it.

I stumbled on this thread. Yes, cool photos! I don't speak any German but an English caption to one of the photos is "Silk-and-Spices-Festival in Bukhara". From Google it looks like that is always the last week of May.
