US dollars from ATM at Siem Reap airport?
 

I have a layover at Siem Reap when flying from Luang Prabang to Danang. I don't plan to leave the airport in Siem Reap (not a ton of time, visited there a few years ago). At some point between now and my arrival in Danang, I need to acquire some US dollars in order to pay for my Vietnam visa on arrival. I know that you can use dollars in Cambodia; will I be able to get US dollars from an ATM in the airport (like without going past customs) or will I be able to exchange another currency (lao kip or hong kong dollars) to US dollars at the Siem Reap airport?

There is an ATM that dispenses dollars right as you enter the area (where everyone gets their visas, and often need $$). I did this once a few years ago, though I didn't use the ATM. After you use the ATM, I think there is a hall that you go down to the departure area. You don't want to get in the line for the Cambodian visa, or go through the immigration counters further down.
