Urgent!! Penang resort: Shangri-La Rasa Sayang or Golden Sands
 

I'm wondering anyone stayed at the above resorts before. Rasa Sayang is slightly more epensive than Golden Sands. Which one is better/value for money? Any advices on visiting Penang is welcome. thanks.

I was fr Penang.Rasa Sayang is nicer than Golden Sands but pls stay in the new wing.The old wing is...well...old.Having said that both are Shangri-La hotels and located beside each other. You can use each other's facilities as well. <BR><BR>In penang make sure you eat hawker food. Best is the coffee shop in the middle of Lorong Selamat. Everything is good there. Also eat the crab laksa at 68 kelawei rd.I'll e-mail you more recommendations.

Agree with everything previous poster said about the 2. Go to Eden seafood restaurant, good food and usually a band or some other entertainment. Excellent foot massage on the beach. I don't know if they still have Jet ski's but although there were signs saying they were illegal they existed and sad to say my last stay there was upset due to a fatal accident we witnessed involving a jet ski! Keep well away from them, they are motor-bikes of the sea and most people renting have no idea or experience how to ride them.

funnily enough, I would advise not going to Eden- the reason being obvious when you get there!The biggest isn't always the best.Try the Net- opposite Eden.Brilliant food, plastic tableclothes- 100 times better than Eden !!!!
