Urgent- Bintan and Singapore

I am planning to go to Singapore and Bintan in Jan 2003. I¡¦ll be flying from Hong Kong, and I would want to have suggestions on the followings:

1. Which is the nearest ferry terminal to go to Bintan?
2. How do I get to that terminal straight from the airport? And how long?
3. How do I know the ferry schedule?
4. If I have 4 nights stay, would you recommend 2 night stays in Singapore and Bintan, or 3 vs. 2?

Thanks in advance,

1. Tanah Merah ferry terminal, the only one.
2. Take a cab. It takes 5 mins.
3. Sorry cant help there. Pls do a search using the terminal.
4. 2N each. There is nothing to do in Bintan tho.

1. Tanah Merah - it takes less than 10 mins to get you from the airport to the ferry terminal.
2. taxi alone - even locals have to grab a cab in.
3. check out the URL posted :
4. nah...stay on longer in SG. everything else in Bintan is overpriced. PLUS - its all priced in SG dollars, pretty much gives u an idea who they are trying to cream.

It takes about 45mins for the ferry to reach Bintan island from the Tanah Merah ferry terminal.
The rest are right; you have to take a cab because it is waaaay in. Not a good idea to walk.
One night would be nice to stay in Bintan for the beach and to soak up some sun. (but beware the rainy season now) I stayed in the Mayang Sari resort- its relatively cheap and the rooms are quite nice as well.
You can spend the rest of your time in Singapore.
