I agree Kim...They do have a nice childrens' section. I never used to need to go to childrens' sections until my sister and her husband adopted an infant. So,this past Dec/Jan in Bangkok, I went back in to buy him some more clothes at The Emporium department store as he was 2 years old then. They had great yellow, hooded windbreakers to honor the king...similiar to the yello polo shirts. So, I picked one up and my sister loved it. And they were half price...which was almost nothing. So, stock up on baby clothes there. Happy Travels!

Hello all. Thanks again for all the tips.
My friends are off to BKK today having spent the last ten days manically running around doing paperwork etc... Their baby boy (Tim) is 15 months old and they will meet him tomorrow for the first time.
Against my best advice -), and all your tips they decided to go and stay at a hotel and have booked themselves into the ShangriLa. Would not have been my choice but it is very close to the Skytrain and on the river so they're happy.
SO there... HAve a nice day
