Unique accommodations in Krabi?

From what I've read, the Krabi area seems very nice - for beaches, snorkeling, trekking, etc. I'd love any suggestions on a unique place to stay on the beach. Would like to spend under $100 a night. Thanks in advance!

There are many new resorts, many in Ao Nang Bay. Krabi town is just a local town, you must go to the beaches nearby. Many new places are not on the beach but my favorite is Phra Nang Inn, good prices and the kind of location that you are probably thingking about.
Here you can find photos and prices. You must remember that from November is the high season.

http://www.r24.org/huahin.20m.com/kr...nginn/details/

Bonjour
We were in Ao Nang last feb. Stayed 8 days at the Sabai resort. Owned by an Italian couple. Small cottages, good cuisine, very very clean, a bit out of town (1.5km but a lot of transport). Around 40$/night.I would recommend. Check website(sabairesort.com)
Daniel

I also discovered that many of the hotels said something like a 'short walk' to the beach or 'magnificent views' from the hills, to me that means they are not on the beach but Pra Nang Inn is from the description. Thanks, I will check the site as we don't want to go all that way and not be on the beach.

Phra Nang Inn has two sections, the one on the beach is preferable. But it is not actually "on" the beach, there is a narrow strip of dirt road before the beach. The long boats come in right in front of the hotel. Try for the honeymoon suite (a little extra); it has a balcony overlooking the water, for magnificent sunsets. The other section of Phra Nang Inn is on the other side of the road, and one has to come to the beachside one for meals and swimming pool (very small).
