Type of plugs in Bali...
 

Hello,
I'm bringing my camera, cell phone, and respective chargers with me to Bali. What kind of plug converter do I need? I live in the U.S. Thanks so much for your assistance.

www.kropla.com/electric2.htm talks about three plug configurations in Indonesia, but the only one we found in Bali was the European type, with two round pins - you can pick up an adapter for them anywhere.

BTW, if your cellphone is the one you use at home it will need to be a triband or quadband GSM type, able to handle the 900 and/or 1800 MHz frequency bands as well as the US 850/1900, but I guess you've got that all sorted out.

Be aware that the voltage is 220 in Bali. Check that your appliances have built in voltage converters (most do nowadays) AND that the cord can use 220 V (it will be written on the plug part somewhere or right along the wire the voltage capacity. My Japanese cell phone, equipped with world wide roaming, had a power cord that could only by used with 120 Volts or less, so I had to buy a seperate one that could go to 220 V.

Just to confirm - all plugs in Indonesia take two round pins, and are often recessed in a slotted round hole.
