Tuk-tuk Service

Whilst in Siem Reap recently we used Tong Noeun and his Tuk-tuk for getting around town and for our transfer to the airport.
He was reliable and punctual and spoke reasonable English.

His mobile phone number is 012505736 and his email address is [email protected]

Orgy,

The Cambodian Tuk-tuk is infinitely superior to the Thai variety. There was plenty of room for my 6’ 2” and I could get in and out, whereas in Thailand I need to be a contortionist.

The average trip was about $1.50; he would drop us off whilst we went to dinner and be there to pick us up at an agreed time.

On our last day we agreed $7 to hire him from 9:00 until 12:00, which included the relatively long haul to the airport. (OK that was a bit much but she who must be obeyed was in a generous mood.)

On one occasion we had a problem with his motorcycle and he had a replacement there within ten minutes.

I am NOT suggesting that you should use a Tuk-tuk to visit the temples, unless you are very young and adventurous. Even then you would need a driver who knows where to drop you off and pick you up or you would be walking many extra kilometers.

Within the town you either use Tuk-tuks or walk, unles you want to use a hotel limo.

We took several tuk-tuk trips on SR. Each was $1/person. They were happy to get it.
