Tsim Sha Tsui restaurants
Could all you HK experts out there please suggest good ( not 5 star ) somewhat casual restaurants, not in a hotel and within an easy walk from the Star Ferry.
|
Probably the best place to look is in the shopping centres adjacent to the Star Ferry: Ocean Centre and Harbour City. They're both chock full of places to eat, ranging from fast food to casual but very good.
The Hutong, at 1 Peking Road, is an excellent Chinese restaurant, but it might be a bit more formal than "somewhat casual." |
western food at dan ryans at ocean terminal next to star ferry...
|
Spring Deer in Mody Road. You need to book and DON'T be put off by the awful entrance to the buiding. Restaurant is on first floor and serves good food (specialty is Peking Duck but there is lots of other yummy stuff). Enjoy!

Jade Garden Chinese Restaurant (5/F Star House) is a good choice for Cantonese food and dim sum.
Peking Garden Restaurant (also at Star House) is a bit formal and expensive, but still excellent Beijing food. |
