Trip to South Korea: best in sprimg OR fall????

Ciao, South Korea could be the next destination for a 3 to 4 weeks trip. Question: is it better visiting it in April-May OR October-(early)November???? Please, give me your opinion...grazie!!! Gianni (Milan, Italy)

I went in May, and enjoyed it, but if you plan to spend any time in the mountains, I think it would be wonderful to go when you can see the autumn foliage.

I was there in October just gone. We arrived on 7th and left 26 Oct. We had perfect weather. Mild sunny days with only a half day of light rain early on and one day of reasonable but not dreadful rain at the end in Seoul. I'm sure it changes year by year but it really was lovely this time. I was just wearing light shirts most of the time and a jacket in the evenings. The leaves were turning a little as we arrived but by the time we left they were well coloured especially in the north. Down south they just had an edge as we got there around 13th and by the time we headed back north a bit over a week later they were good but not full colour. Coming from Australia its really nice to see the leaves colouring up.

Its a toss up which time to pick as I imagine the roads lined with Cherry trees would be spectacular if you get your timing right in spring. I've also been there in June, July and August over different visits. Its always been very hot and humid then particularly in August.
