We haven't stayed at the Hyatt Kyoto...we are considering it for September when family visit.
The Toyoko Inn Kohrimbo and the Tokyu Excel in Kanazawa are a 2 minute walk apart in the downtown area. Walk to Kenrokuen and shopping and restaurants. Short bus or taxi to station. Tokyu is nicer, but you have to get one of the newer and bigger rooms. Toyoko Inn is new, but rooms are tiny. Tradeoff. |
thanks kimjapan
I've tried to contact the Tokyu via their web site but am unable to get through to get a reservation. I think I'll try to fax next if i can find a fax number. |
Their online reservations work...not sure why not for you, unless your trip is too far in the future? When are you traveling? Also, English language reservations do not include discount plans most of the time. There are always special plans on their Japanese page that include various things like breakfast, dinner, bicycle rental...
A fax will likely go unanswered, as they will probably not send a return fax overseas nor will they call you. You might fax and say when you will call them to follow up, or send an e-mail. |

we will be traveling in july and you are probably correct about the idea that our travel dates are a little too far out for them. I will try later. I want to thank you and everyone else for sharing all of your valuable valuable information with me. My planning seems to be going along fine, but I couldn't have done it with out you all. I have another question Has anyone stayed at the Three Sisters Annex Ryocan in Kyoto? |
