Trip to BKK

I will be in BKK on feb 4 and feb 19th. Does anyone have any suggestions as to whether I can site see on my own? If I go to Wat Po, the grand palace and the nat'l museum where do you recommend I go for lunch?

For my 2nd day I was thinking royal barge museum, and Jim Thompson house. Any shopping suggestions after these two sites?

There is no question, you can site see on your own.

Do a search on Bangkok here on the board and you will turn up literally hundreds of posts just from this year.

You need to give us lots more information about what you want to shop for in order for us to give you any useful advice. Are you looking for silk? jewelry? crafts?

I am looking for either art work or crafts shopping wise. Paintings or statues.

Go to the Nara Phand Goverment craft store- they have great stuff- quality.
In the basement they have some bargain stuff also.

For arts and crafts (higher end) also check out the multitude of shops in River City.
