We've sold your house in Needham. Don't worry, we've arranged for a time share at the Peabody Marriott. The pool is great and you can take a ferry across the Essex River to Danvers. You just hop on a bus and zoom down Route 1. There's a great Outback Steakhouse near the hotel.

if we need to make a quick trip someplace could you swing over from salem with your bike and take me on the handle bars??? now that would be a site...
My bike does not permit Suburban passengers. It is strictly an urban transport. Did you ride on a motor scooter in BKK?
silly boy....i value my life
time is taking me over....i can't seem to get to the report....maybe i can start tomorrow nite or if not on saturday...
How is the jet lag?
the jet lague would not be bad if it hadn't been for the extra 5 hours in detroit....we are back to normal...that's because we do not exercise and eat fatty foods....and do not run marathons...
Looking forward to that report. We are going to have Thailand-like weather in Connecticut this weekend - if it is the same in Needham, I am sure you will just want to enjoy the a/c indoors and finish writing it. Then again, you could always start training for that marathon to keep up with Gpanda...
Pandas train hard in the heat and humidity. That's why they are endangered. Craig, I'm begging you to never reference any similarities between Needham and Thailand. It boggles the mind to think there are any.
craig---urban dwellers always look at things differently...
Hi there rhkkmk
My son lives in Needham--- Grant St right near the train staion. Anywhere near you? I am going to Thailand in Nov. so have been following your adventures. I am most impressed by the Thailand "groupies" I have noticed--- seem to want to return and return. I give you credit: I'm already having panic nightmares over the 24 hour trip to get there. |
Barnrt-Don't worry too much. On our first trip, I agonized over every potential disaster. A total waste of energy. Thailand is so welcoming that you could literally book only your plane and take care of everything once you get there.
I've come to think of the long plane ride (28 hours from Boston) as a buffer between Thailand and the hordes of tourists that would overwhelm it if it were closer. If Thailand were only 6-8 hours away, it would be mobbed. Thankfully, it's not. |
Good thought Gpanda---- the long flight will keep the faint of heart and spirit away.
