How is it possible that pedantic rhymes with romantic? My long-suffering wife suggests that it is merely an unfortunate coincidence. I believe there may be a deeper meaning.

Grandpa, great report!
We're off to Thailand for the first time in 4 weeks - very excited. Also staying at ROS in BKK using our starwood points.
We're actually flying Toronto-HK direct. Glad you liked the economy class. Were there a lot of videos on demand and video games? I'm debating whether to bring my laptop to watch movies, or whether Air Canada's entertainment program will be sufficient, for a change.... please let me know, you reply is greatly appreciated!

Nadyad-Air Canada's film selection is Ok, but not great. I read about 2/3 of the flight. If you want more video stimulation, you might want to bring your laptop. Also, if you bring your laptop, the ROS has WiFi in the mezzanine with some tables. Seth and Liz used this a lot.

Make sure you take advantage of the ROS location. Gallery Cafe is just around the corner, yurn right and follow road turning left. It's on your right before you get to the main road. Also, Harmonique and Tongue Thai are close, a 10-15 minute walk or a 40 Baht cab ride.

Be sure to hop on the river ferry a few times. If you're up early, take the cross river ferry across the river and wander the market as you get off. It's busy with Thais in the morning commute.

I'm jealous that you will be experiencing BKK for the first time.
