Traveling to Indonesia during Covid
I’m American and I’ve been dating an Indonesian girl for a few months now. The entire time I’ve been ensuring her I would visit her whenever the borders are open but the timeframe is still very up in the air since we have no idea when that will be. Recently she’s been growing impatient. She tells me that while officially the borders to Indonesia are closed they are still letting tourists in but I am skeptical as she never seems to have any super solid proof. Everywhere I look online it still looks like everything is closed. So, I was just wondering if anyone could confirm or deny if it’s true that it’s still possible to enter the country despite what the official sites say. Id would be trying for a normal tourist visa or possibly a work visa and I know that here were plans of opening Bali before the rest of the country so I figured maybe I’d go there and visit my gf from there (she lives in Yogyakarta) but again Idk if this is possible. If anyone has any knowledge or advice on this subject it would be much appreciated. For now we are just waiting.

Sorry, but you are only one of many millions of persons suffering the same nasty situation. No county now wants foreign visitors, and even many men with families are denied visas and entrance to see the wife and kids.
I'm in Thailand and cannot go to Hong Kong to see my gf or attend to my property there. Nor do i want to pay the very high cost of a Hong Kong hotel for a few weeks while in quarantine. Estimated that HK will open up (maybe) in December 2021. I know nothing of Indo and the Covid situation there. Best for you to get the vaccine in USA, and when possible apply for Indo visa. Of course, sending your gf ten Ben Franklin's will help lots, I'm sure. |
