Travel time needed from BKK to DMK

Dear Friends,

I am landing at Bangkok Airport (BKK) on 17th December early morning ( expected time around 7:15). I want to travel to Krabi the same day.

How much time would I need to complete all formalities like customs, immigration, Baggage, Visa , etc. and travel time to reach DMK airport. I plan to take a cheaper connecting flight during the day from DMK airport.

We travelled through BKK three times in the last six months. The first time we experienced long queues but nothing like the 4 hours that was reported earlier in the year. The last time it took around 30 mins from getting off the plane to the taxi counter travelling carryon only.

The airport have drafted in more staff so hopefully the long queues are a thing of the past.

Air Asia have a free regular bus service between the two airports. Schedule should be on their website. Probably an hour or so transfer time. A taxi may be quicker.

Checking in online and printing boarding passes will speed the process. Arriving at 7.15 I would probably be looking at flights around midday/ early afternoon

We did our full arrival and we're in a cab last week t 7:30 in one hour but we get head of line because of wheelchair-- plan on 1.5 hours.

Time to other airport is maybe 45 minutes, but plan on at least 1.5 hours.

You can fly to krabi from BKK on thai air, btw. My tickets to Phuket were just slightly more on thai than on the discounter.
