Travel Siem Reap to Krabi
The itinerary I planned starts in Bangkok, then Luang Prabang, then Siem Reap, ending with 4 days in Krabi (Koh Lanta).
Am I missing something? I see only 1 flight per day from BKK to Krabi (leaves BKK at 10:20) and there are no flights from Siem Reap that get into BKK in the early morning.
Does anyone know about a bus or train that connects in the early morning or do we just bite the bullet and fly to BKK, overnight there, and fly out in the morning.
We have only 20 days for our tour and I want to make the connection in the fastest way possible.
Thanks.

FromLA,
I think you didn't search properly. Thai Smiles (belong to Thai Airways) operate about 5 flights per day to/from Krabi and fly out of Suvarnabhumi airport.

Air Asia operate 3 flights per day out of Don Mueang airport as well.

where are you looking, as hanuman says ???
there are plenty of krabi flts at all times..
try bangkok airways for LP and SR flights... almost a monopoly and very expensive... they have a special fare group with purchase of 3 or 5 legs, but you may have to buy from home to qualify

Thank you all -- this makes sense. I obviously did not search properly and did not know about air asia or thai smiles. Without Fodor's Forum support I could never have planned this trip.
Bob, I've been following your trip report with delight and fascination. So many people that have so much experience traveling -- how great.
