Travel Insured vs. Travel Guard

Has anyone used either of these? I'm trying to decide which one to buy.

Thanks

We have used Travel Guard a number of times and unfortunately had some jewelry stolen while we were in Avignon France a few years back. Travel Guard settled up with us quickly and efficiently.

we are a travel agency and use them both for clients. Had few claims with both, including my own (Travel Guard). They all settle promptly. But just make sure document theft or losses. For example, my husband lost wedding ring when snorkeling and TG did not return money (no receipt).

We had clients got sick and TG returned money. Both insurances have now Terrorism clause.

Read fine print carefully.
For example, for cancellation due to illness, they do not cover for mental illness, so letter from psychiatrist does not help. Has to be any other illness :-)

Also, it is advisable to buy insurance within 1 or 2 week of booking (they specify it). This is if one has preexisting condition, then it will be waived.

I have bought Travel Guard for years. Happy Travels!

We priced both and ended up with Travel Guard as well. Lost a camera during our trip and were quickly reimbursed with no issue. Though having the receipt was integral.
