Hey all,

I was thinking about using world nomad but I am not sure. Anyone have problems or a better company. i would like to spend under $200 for a 90 day trip but I dont want to get stuck with a bad company. Any Suggestions???

I would be interested in knowing more about the pros and cons of buying travel insurance for a 10 day trip Delhi, Agra and Nepal in May with my daughter. Our health care ins. covers evacuation in the event of a medical emergency, but maybe we ought to buy some protection towards non-medical emrgencies? feedback, please.Jan

i guess i would be more interested to know if my current insurance would reimburse me for expenditures i might need to make overseas...in which case you might just be getting overlapping coverage....much nicer to buy a new rug in india than to pay dual insurance

I always use Travel Guard- it offers emergency evacuation, including a family member, cancellation insurance (including pre-existing conditions if you buy it within 14 days of booking your trip), emergency medical treatment, lost baggage and delayed flight insurance and even has stickers so honest people could return lost items to you.

I am looking for health/evacuation insurance. I am a backpacker and wont be bringing much. I just want the people to be honest at the company.

We used www.privacyguard.com on a recent trip to India. Although we did not have any claims, a friend did and they reimbursed her immediately, no questions asked.

i've always gone to insuremytrip.com to compare companies, policies and prices. i've never had to make a claim but it's worth the money, i think, esp when it comes to medical evacuations and peace of mind!
